More Than 110 North Bay Nonprofit Leaders Gather for Annual Summit State Bank Event

Santa Rosa, CA – July 24, 2026 – More than 110 nonprofit leaders representing over 60 organizations from across the North Bay gathered on July 16 for Summit State Bank's annual North Bay Nonprofit Event (NBNE), a half-day forum focused on education, collaboration, and strengthening the nonprofit community.

The event featured Linda Jacobs, CEO of the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL), who shared insights into the current state of the nonprofit sector, followed by a panel discussion with leaders from Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County, Community Matters, and Food For Thought. The keynote presentation was delivered by internationally recognized nonprofit expert and author Darian Rodriguez Heyman, who explored the responsible use of artificial intelligence to help nonprofits expand their impact. The event concluded with a donation giveaway where five nonprofits were each awarded a $1,000 donation.

"Supporting nonprofits extends beyond banking," said Brian Reed, President and CEO of Summit State Bank. "Our goal is to provide a free resource where nonprofit leaders from across the North Bay can connect, collaborate, and share ideas that benefit the entire community."

NBNE is an extension of Summit State Bank's longstanding commitment to the nonprofit community. Through its Nonprofit Partner Program, the Bank provides annual financial contributions to participating nonprofit organizations based on their banking relationship, helping support organizations that make a lasting impact throughout the North Bay.
